Paradise Dog Training

Paradise Pet Centre offers dog and puppy training through Paradise Dog Training. Our skilled instructors have been training dogs professionally since 1991. Using the Alpha Dog Training Method you will learn to teach your dog through voice, body language, respect and understanding and not through the use of treats. Besides, realistically, who has a treat on them when your dog decides to misbehave! Your training will be in real life surroundings, including all of the distractions and challenges therein.

We do continuous 6 week evening courses at Paradise Pet Centre with several choices for days of the week to fit into your schedule. Classes are typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday's, and 6:30 pm and 7:45 pm start times: just note that these days and times are subject to change depending on enrollment. We offer a Basic Training and Advanced Training package; please see the descriptions for what is involved with each. If you have two dogs, you may enter them both in the same class as long as you have a handler for both. The second will be at a reduced rate. It is good to involve the family members in this training as it is more the people we are training to communicate with the dog in a language they understand.

BASIC TRAINING PACKAGE

The focus of this first course is on You, the handler.
We teach you how to communicate with your dog and to understand how he thinks. This enables you to correct his unwanted behavior or habits.
Discussion on basic “I’ve got a new puppy, help me topics such as house breaking and the importance of kennel use.
Basic exercises such as sit/attention setting, heeling, downs, and more.
$180 + gst

ADVANCED TRAINING PACKAGE

The focus of this course is on your dog and developing his training to a whole new advanced level.
Taking basic exercises, and honing what the dog has learned, to a superior standard.
This course includes more off-leash work, allowing the You, the handler, to control the dog in all sorts of real life situations; such as off-leash park areas with other dogs around.
Developing and fostering a “new” energy between the dog and the handler.
$180 + gst

COMPLETE TRAINING PACKAGE

Includes both the Basic and Advanced Training Packages
